The work produced in this anthology has been created by young people who attend our Creative Arts and Photography course at our Alternative Education Provision, as well as participants at a series of creative sessions at Pedestrian, drop-in workshops at Belgrave, Beaumont Leys and Eyres Monsell libraries, Leicester Print Workshop as well as a ‘Take Over’ day at Eyres Monsell Primary School. They have been guided by professional artists and the work has been inspired by a number of themes ranging from literature and books, song lyrics, their relationship to green spaces and what in the world would they want to put right.
Back To Books was the flagship project for Pedestrian 2026, funded by Arts Council England (ACE) and in partnership with Leicester Libraries.
