Positive Choices 2020

A two-week programme of intervention focussed activity for young people involved in or at high risk of knife crime.

Sessions seek to tackle underlying causes associated with knife carrying, utilising music/art/media as a tool for engagement before building individual’s self-esteem, challenging the normalisation of habitual knife carrying and empowering participants to act as peer educators on the subject within their community in a safe and appropriate way.

Drawing upon a partnership pilot scheme the project is based around prevention focussed intervention and future-focussed positive engagement with young people involved in or at high risk of knife crime.
