Perfect Score Presents
Perfect Score is an exciting programme that brings together new and emerging young artists with some of the best music leaders in Leicester; providing opportunities to create, develop and produce new music as well as learning valuable skills to help make a career in music a reality.
The main elements to the project are:
Press Start – Weekly sessions for young people aged 16-25 year who are ready to take their music to the next level. Working with professionals, but at your own pace, Press Start enables you to discover and develop your sound and performance skills with a small group of other like-minded individuals. Sign up HERE to get involved in our next Press Start sessions commencing in September 2022.
Level Up – A 12 training programme for emerging and established musicians who are looking to work in participatory music. We have trained 2 music leaders in 2022 who are now supporting a number of our projects at Pedestrian and other local services.
Beats and Bars – A two/three-day music residency taking place over the school holidays aimed at those aged 14-18 years who are starting out in music. Work with industry experts to create tracks, write lyrics and record your songs in a creative and supportive environment. Sign up HERE to get involved in Beats and Bars Leicester in August 2022 and Corby in October 2022.
Press Start EP, Video and Tour – Finishing off the support we’ve been offering to our current Press Start artists, the young people have been putting the finishing touches to their EP; recorded at the fabulous HQ Recording studios in Leicester city centre. Alongside this they’ve compiled their individual press packs accompanied by a professional photoshoot and music video. Throughout the process they’ve been supported and assisted by local industry experts who have dedicated their time and skills to making sure our young people get the very best experience possible. Keep an eye on our social media pages for the launch of their videos and dates of their upcoming tour in January 2023.
