Urban Arts engage young people in a variety of ways, all of them creative. We are able to work within the art forms that young people are already exploring and ignite new interest, guiding their energy and curiosity towards a positive outcome they can be proud of. Pioneering their potential.
Particularly through our work with a variety of partners - from PRUs to Creative Partnerships - we have learnt how to engage young people of all ages and abilities through taking the time to understand their needs and respect their ambitions.
Art Forms: Turntablism, Music Production, DJing, Graffiti, MCing, Lyric Writing, Music Lessons (Instruments).
Skills developed by Urban Arts include: Artistic technique, software skills, performance skills, increased vocabulary and literacy.
Developing: Self expression, creativity, commitment, interpersonal skills and respect.
We also offer some of these subjects as accredited courses, so as well as the Pedestrian certificate the participants can receive a recognised qualification. Please contact us to find out more.
