Connor Kettle
My first experience with Pedestrian came in 2004 when I took part in a turntablism course at my local community centre in Corby. Having received an early prototype of the tutoritool I began to get hyped about the new world of turntablism as it gave me a way of expressing my burgeoning love for hip hop and as well as many other genres in a place where I didnt know too many heads! I kept on coming back for more and pushed myself into the Pedestrian community via the online forum, as a way to get in contact with like minded musicians. Months later I jumped at the offer of becoming a trainee tutor on various courses for Pedestrian and even worked freelance in my hometown!!!
Pedestrian has given me the tools to communicate with other musicians and music lovers in London, where I now attend University, a place where musically there are so many opportunities. I feel it vital to help the organisation that has given me an alternative outlook upon music in any way possible, and spread the creative vibe, that is key to the pedestrian ethos, with other young people.
