I work with Pedestrian teaching Turntablism and also volunteer my time to help out with other Pedestrian projects.
I started out as a school boy drummer playing in various bands until I was given a video of the 1999 DMC world finals. I watched the tape over and over until I decided to sell my drums to get some dodgy turntables and mixer. From there I developed my skills and gradually upgraded my equipment.
I am currently in the process of finishing a Music Technology and Innovation degree at De Montfort University. Learning skills and meeting people through my University experience has put me in touch with many superb artists. Meeting these artists has lead to me becoming involved with Pedestrian and also form a Leicester based Hip Hop group called Phoenix Quarter.
I am one of 3 producers for the group and also provide all the scratches on our recorded work. I perform live with the group’s rappers as the DJ. In the past we have played alongside acts such as Skinnyman, Jehst, Supanova, Klashnekoff and the Scratch Perverts. You can download our debut EP for free from our website
