Recent Activities:
Phoenix Youth Centre
In April 2008 Pedestrian will be delivering some taster sessions in Phoenix Youth Centre as a part of a larger regeneration project of the youth centre. These sessions will hopefully pave the way to a long-term project which will be entirely led by the young people, so they may decide which art forms and how they will come together to form a final performance.
Northampton PAYP
Since August, 2005, Pedestrian has run residential courses with young people from the Northamptonshire PAYP projects. These have been music and radio projects and are set to continue.
Play on Words 2006
Between December 05 and April 06, Pedestrian managed and coordinated the Play on Words literary festival in conjunction with Corby Borough Council.
Crossroads
Pedestrian’s goal to develop musical communities was invested in by the Local Network Fund. Crossroads is the product and is an online resource for any musician or artist in the Northamptonshire area who is disabled.
Big About Music (BAM)
Our presence in Corby has been a big part of our own musical heritage. The Corby and Kettering Youth Music Action Zone has been a part of that for years and will be for years to come. This year, we have been working closely with their team to develop musicians and local skills.
