Invest and Inspire Delivery In Loughborough

Delivery for Invest and Inspire began at McDonald’s in Loughborough where we hosted our taster sessions (see what we did there?)

For this activity we set up a pop up recording studio and art stations.  We asked young people: “If they could put anything they wanted in a jar, what would it be?”  The results were dinosaurs, magic, unicorns, and love of course.

This week we are taking up residency in Fearon Hall’s beautiful ballroom, where we will be helping young people build totem poles for Fearon Hall’s vegetable patch.  After crafting their masterpieces, they will be asked to visualise what their totem pole would ‘sound like’, and compose a musical piece to accompany it using our music equipment.

This is a completely free initiative aimed at helping young people to contribute to their community in a positive way.  Just drop by Fearon Hall between 10am and 2pm on the 19th, 20th and 21st July to get involved!

Don’t worry if you miss this week-long block of activity, we have another in August with more art and music workshops to get stuck into.  We hope to see you here soon!
