I studied Contemporary Arts Practices at Leeds Metropolitan University, and after moving back to Leicester wanted to be involved in the arts and with community projects. I volunteer with all sorts of events in Leicester to gain experience that will, hopefully, help me in the future.
I would like to have my own gallery, and volunteering at Pedestrian is inspiring me to continue working towards this, as well as continuing with my own art practice. I have recently set up Kylie North Arts, a social enterprise, that has been made a reality through funding and guidance from The Mighty Creatives and Spring. For two weeks at the end of January I set up my first exhibition at Pedestrian Gallery as Kylie North Arts.
When I’m not at Pedestrian (or working) I draw, paint, and produce art and music videos.
