Commissioner

We work with a range of commissioners from the public, private, and voluntary sectors across the East Midlands. If you would like to explore how we could work together to meet an identified need then get in touch.

Our range of commissions since 1998 have been broad to say the least, so to give you a flavour here are some examples of current commissions:

Musical Inclusion

We have been commissioned by the Northampton Music Education Hub on behalf of affiliated music delivery providers locally to undertake an action research project across Northamptonshire. The research explores the best way to regularly engage service providers of youth justice and looked after children and gain their commitment to music activity for young people. Specific project aims include establishing regular dialogue and firm working relationships with service providers on behalf of the Hub; identifying the needs of service providers and how music activity can best support a) provider’s priorities and b) young people’s progression; gaining insight via consultation with young people via structured sessions and music taster sessions. The final output will be a recommendations report on the best way for the Hub to move forward to serve young people and organisations locally.

Creative Industry Tasters

Commissioned by VESA a not-for-profit education support agency in Leicester, we are delivering several 8 week taster Photography and Design programmes for Year 10 students. The sessions are part of the Future Pathways programme, which aims to introduce students to the basics of professional practice and bring about a broader understanding of the creative industries sector, ultimately inspiring students to consider a career in the arts.

Changing Tracks

Funded through Youth Music, this programme specifically targets young adults resident at Kennedy House Homeless Hostel. Through a series of regular music workshops as well as specific one to one mentoring opportunities, residents with an interest in music work towards achieving recognised qualifications whilst also developing interpersonal skills including making positive choices, building healthy relationships and improving feelings of self-worth.
