Accredited Work

Pedestrian are currently awarding centres for:

NCFE

NCFE is a leading provider of nationally recognised qualifications and notably has a suite of qualifications that offer performance points to schools when we deliver qualifications for them for their KS2 learners (when accessing alternative education with us outside of their GCSE/mainstream timetables). Nationally the qualifications are widely reputable and these attributes are significant to our learners’ progression.

OCN

Pedestrian have been an OCN center for over seven years and we really value the flexibility of the self development units and the vast range of specialist subjects that can be accredited for. We thrive on the opportunity of building our own qualifications selecting the units we want and developing the units to ensure they are fit for purpose for our learning programmes.

Arts Award

Pedestrian are an official Arts Award centre, with advisers overseeing Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the qualification accredited by Trinity College.

“Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that support anyone up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form…

Through Arts Award young people gain a nationally recognised qualification enabling them to progress into further education and employment. Arts Award has five levels, four of which (Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold) are on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).” www.artsaward.org.uk

The flexible nature of Arts Award makes it a perfect qualification for engaging young people with a mistrust of the value of certification and an interest in creative and artistic activity. The increasing levels offer more opportunity for independent learning alongside more complex and in-depth critical thinking, reflection as well as development and application of leadership skills.
